Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV), who co-chairs and founded the Energy Export Caucus, issued a statement regarding the Biden administration’s Department of Energy report on the continued pause of U.S.-produced Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) exports.

“From his first day in office, Joe Biden has stifled American energy production, and this report is nothing more than a desperate attempt to save his failing green agenda,” Miller stated. She criticized the administration for “undermining U.S. national security” by suggesting that exporting American energy is harmful to both the economy and environment.

Miller emphasized that “the world looks to the United States for leadership and direction on energy production,” expressing disapproval of allies relying on Russia, China, and Iran for energy sources due to current U.S. policies.

“The American people overwhelmingly voted for President Trump’s agenda to reestablish American energy dominance on the world stage,” she said. Miller promised that “no amount of bureaucracy or reports from unelected officials will stop President Trump from lifting Biden’s ban on LNG export permits on his first day in office.”

She argued that removing this ban would be crucial in reducing living costs, enhancing reliability, and improving grid efficiency. Miller concluded by stating her commitment to working with former President Trump “to unleash American energy production and make the United States safer and stronger than ever.”

The background includes efforts by Miller and other caucus members sending letters urging President Biden to reconsider LNG export limitations.
