Rep. Carol Miller, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing West Virginia’s 1st district, shared several updates on social media regarding recent developments and opportunities in her state. The tweets reflect her engagement with local disaster recovery efforts, educational initiatives, and advancements in cybersecurity.

On March 24, 2025, Rep. Miller announced that “.@fema has opened an additional Disaster Recovery Center at the Southern WV Community and Technical College to offer in-person assistance to those affected by the devastating floods in February.” This initiative aims to provide necessary support to residents impacted by natural disasters.

Later that day, she highlighted an educational opportunity for students across the country. She tweeted that “It’s that time of year again! @America250 is encouraging students grades 3-12 to submit writing or artwork to the #AmericasFieldTrip contest for the chance to visit famous U.S. landmarks!” This contest encourages creativity among young students and offers them a chance to explore historical sites.

On March 25, 2025, Rep. Miller expressed her enthusiasm about a new development at West Virginia State University: “I’m delighted that @WVStateU has opened their new Cybersecurity Clinic to provide free digital security services after receiving a $1 million grant from Google.” The clinic aims to enhance cybersecurity awareness and protection for local organizations and students vulnerable to cyberattacks.
