Rep. Carol Miller, a member of the U.S. Congress representing West Virginia’s 1st district since 2019, recently shared updates on her official Twitter account regarding her legislative activities and personal reflections.

On June 10, 2025, Rep. Miller tweeted about her meeting with Federal Bureau of Prisons Director Billy Marshall. In this tweet, she stated: “It was great meeting with Federal Bureau of Prisons Director Billy Marshall. We discussed the importance of the Second Chance Act and how we can tackle issues in the federal prison system. I’m proud to see such a great West Virginian leading the BOP!”

Later that day, Rep. Miller announced the introduction of new legislation via another tweet on June 10, 2025: “Today, I introduced the Community TEAMS Act which will fund medical school clinical rotations in rural and underserved areas. Rural communities deserve the same quality of care as more populated areas, and this legislation is a crucial step towards bridging that gap.”

On June 11, 2025, Rep. Miller expressed her condolences over social media following the death of former West Virginia Delegate Doug Skaff. In her tweet, she said: “I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former West Virginia Delegate Doug Skaff. Doug’s love for our state and his servant’s heart shone through in his many years of service in public office. His wife, Marisa, and their children are in my prayers.”

Carol Miller has served in various capacities within public office throughout her career, including time spent in the West Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2018 before succeeding Evan Jenkins in Congress.
