45 percent of applicants to Appalachian Bible College were admitted for fall 2018

At Appalachian Bible College, 75 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Mount Hope enrolled 263 students in fall 2018, including 261 in undergraduate and two in graduate programs, data shows. 7.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

34 percent of undergraduates are residents of West Virginia, and 63 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (77 percent) and Black or African American (2 percent).

The school admitted 45 percent of the 126 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 67 percent enrolled.
