Cost of college went up for all students at Academy of Careers and Technology

Tuition and fees rose 11.7 percent for 2018-19 at Academy of Careers and Technology, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

West Virginia students paid $9,386 to attend the public school this year – $981 more than the $8,405 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 94 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 31 students received grants or scholarships totaling $144,163.

Including all undergraduates (155), 116 students used grants or scholarships totaling $430,619.
