Of the 3,467 people living in Shady Spring in 2020, 50.4 percent (1,748) were women and 49.6 percent (1,719) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Southern West Virginia News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 61. In the 65 and over age range, there were 338 females and 334 males.
