Of the 1,060 people living in Mount Hope in 2020, 53.5 percent (567) were women and 46.5 percent (493) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Southern West Virginia News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 17. In the 65 and over age range, there were 130 females and 109 males.
