Of the 1,236 people living in Mallory in 2020, 60.1 percent (743) were women and 39.9 percent (493) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Southern West Virginia News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 56. In the 65 and over age range, there were 106 females and 33 males.
