The Bethany College men's soccer team opened Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play against the Allegheny College Gators on Hoag Field Tuesday afternoon. The Bison and Gators ended in a 2-2 draw.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- After a scoreless first half, the Gators scored to take a 1-0 lead in the 55th minute of the match.
- Bethany's Jahzinho O'Garro knotted the match at 1-1 after hitting the penalty kick in the 68th minute.
- After back-to-back saves by the Gator's goalkeeper, Bison junior Lucas Puebla gave Bethany the lead in the 69th minute.
- Allegheny gained momentum and knotted the match at 2-2 in the 75th minute.
- Today's match was Allegheny's first match in the PAC since 1983.
- Adis Salihovic made eight saves
- Bethany held the shot advantage, 23-14 over the Gators
- Bethany took seven corner kicks compared to Allegheny's one.
