(RV) WVU Tech men's soccer recorded its eighth shutout of 2022 as they defeated Brescia University 4-0 in a River States Conference (RSC) game Thursday evening. The Golden Bears now boast a record of 12-2-3, 6-0-1 (RSC) while the Bearcats move to 7-9-1, 5-2-1 (RSC).
Freshman Emiliano Pavia was assisted by fellow classmate Emanuele Bossi in posting his first collegiate goal and Tech's first score of the game in minute 13.
Senior Luis Alejandro Jaimes was the next to score, boosting the score to 2-0 in minute 51 off an assist from freshman Arnau Rabassa.
When the clock hit 56:10, senior Ruben Martin Macias sent the perfect ball from the corner past Brescia's keeper, Victor Protet, to move the score to 3-0.
The last Golden Bear to find the back of the net towards the 4-0 showing was freshman Marvin Urena who scored in minute 60 for the Gold and Blue.
Junior Lucas Rivera Paramio protected the net and garnered another W after the complete game and one save.
WVU Tech will next celebrate seniors and host Indiana University East Saturday, October 29 with a scheduled kickoff of 3 p.m.
