Golden Bears move past Shawnee State in the pool

WVU Tech men's swimming earned a 140-74 win over Shawnee State University at the Greenbrier Valley Aquatic Center. The Golden Bears are now 3-1 in 2022.

A few foursomes picked up first place finishes including the 400 Medley Relay team of Aron Kristinarson, Jose Perez, Pau Eslava and Guillermo Usechi who touched at 3:42.97

The first place 400 Free Relay team of Kristinarson, Perez, Usechi and Pablo Asin recorded a time of 3:21.28.

There was also a third place touch from the 400 Medley Relay team of Asin, Sebastian Galvez, Derek Hahn and Noah Maniace posting a 4:00.28.

Individually, the Golden Bears garnered 25 top three finishes including first place showings from Kristinarson (200 Back, 2:03.46), Usechi (200, IM, 2:04.44), Hahn (200 Fly, 2:09.35 | 100 Fly, 55.70) and Jimmy Granger (1000 Free, 10:34.50 | 500 Free, 5:07.85).
