Golden Bears earn second straight conference win
WVU Tech held on for a River States Conference (RSC) victory with a score of 81-76 Tuesday evening. The Golden Bears move to 10-8, 5-3 (RSC) while the Red Wolves hold a record of 9-8, 3-4 (RSC).
Andrew Work hit his 1,000th career point and poured in 18 points to go with five assists, four rebounds and two steals.
Bryce Radford also finished with 18 points including three three's to go with five rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.
Brant Smithers, who was 6-for-7 from the foul line, had 14 points, four boards, a steal and an assist.
Keondre' King, Ashton Parker and Saliou Diop recorded nine points each. Parker also had five rebounds while Diop and King pulled down three. King dished five assists for the Golden Bears.
The team will next host Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Thursday, January 19 in the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
