Golden Bears drop conference contest at Alice Lloyd

 WVU Tech women's basketball dropped a 69-56 River States Conference (RSC) match-up to end the regular season Saturday. The Golden Bears are 16-12, 9-8 (RSC) while the Eagles hold a record of 18-7, 11-6 (RSC).

Faith N. Silva had a game-best 27 points including six made three's. Silva also posted five rebounds, an assist and a steal.

Alva Hedrich led the game with 17 rebounds while recording six points, three blocks and two assists.

Alyssa Taylor and Valiyah Yazzie both had eight points, four rebounds and an assist. Yazzie also produced a block.

Ca'Vashia Johnson pulled down eight boards to go with an assist and a point.

Rylee Allie finished with four points, two rebounds and a steal.

WVU Tech will enter the River Stats Conference Championship as the three-seed in the East. The quarterfinals are scheduled for February 22 when the Golden Bears will travel to No. 2 (East) Oakland City University for a 6:30 p.m. match-up.
