Today, Congresswoman Miller (R-WV) toured Logan Regional Medical Center to review their care facility. She also met with representatives from Williamson Memorial Hospital to discuss renovations made to their new facility and later engaged with the Mingo County Redevelopment Authority to highlight various new projects in the area.
Congresswoman Miller visited Logan Regional Medical Center to meet with the CEO and leadership team to discuss the healthcare services provided to patients.
“I enjoyed touring the Logan Regional Medical Center’s acute care facility and hearing about the wonderful health services they offer to patients. I am always thankful for the opportunity to see the medical centers and hospitals in my district and hear about the positive work that they are doing in order to help patients in our community. The Medical Center has given back in so many ways, including partnering with Marshall University last year to build a rural general surgery residency program to prepare students who want to go into the medical field,” said Congresswoman Miller.
Congresswoman Miller toured Williamson Memorial Hospital to observe completed renovations and hear about updates and forthcoming services.
“I am thrilled that Williamson Memorial Hospital has planned to reopen after being closed and I know that residents in the area are grateful for this news as well. The new hospital management is already thinking of their patients as they continue to progress. I am glad that I had the opportunity to see the new facility. I am confident that once everything comes together through the completed renovations, hospital staff will be able to provide remarkable care for patients in the community,” said Congresswoman Miller.
Congresswoman Miller later met with Mingo County Redevelopment Authority officials to learn about different project developments occurring in the area.
“Mingo County’s Redevelopment Authority is a great asset to Mingo County and our state’s economy. Their hard work allows and encourages businesses to settle in the area, which in turn creates new jobs and opportunities for residents in the area and for those who are trying to grow their businesses. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to hear about the companies and industries they have partnered with. I love their vision and look forward to seeing the outcome of their development,” said Congresswoman Miller.
