Congresswoman Carol Miller, along with Representatives Glenn Grothman, Haley Stevens, and Morgan McGarvey, have re-launched the bipartisan Congressional Aluminum Caucus. The caucus aims to increase awareness of the U.S. aluminum industry and address key issues related to its production and use.

“I am glad to serve alongside my colleagues as one of the co-chairs of the bipartisan Congressional Aluminum Caucus," stated Congresswoman Miller. She emphasized the importance of aluminum in various industries and highlighted its economic impact, noting that it provides jobs for hundreds of thousands of Americans, including over 1,100 in West Virginia.

Congressman Grothman expressed pride in his role as a co-chair. "I am incredibly proud to serve as a co-chair of the Aluminum Caucus, advocating for the 700,000 workers in the U.S. aluminum industry," he said. He underscored the need for preparing students for skilled jobs within this sector.

Congresswoman Stevens remarked on aluminum's recyclability and cost-effectiveness: “Aluminum is a cost-effective and recyclable material our manufacturers rely on." She expressed her enthusiasm for advancing policies that benefit the industry.

Congressman McGarvey highlighted aluminum's significance to Louisville's economy: "From Ford trucks to aluminum cans and solar panels, aluminum manufacturing and recycling are critical."

The Aluminum Caucus was first established in 2013. For over a century, the aluminum industry has been vital to American manufacturing, creating approximately 700,000 jobs and contributing $228 billion to the U.S. economy.

Ravenswood, West Virginia hosts a significant plant operated by Constellium—a global leader in rolled products within the aluminum sector.
