Last week, Congresswoman Carol Miller from West Virginia took part in a roundtable discussion focused on illegal immigration and the drug crisis. The meeting included members of local law enforcement, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

During the discussion, Congresswoman Miller emphasized the importance of addressing these issues to protect American citizens. She stated, “It is vital that we continue to have discussions like the one last week on how we can stop illegal immigration and the ongoing fentanyl crisis at our northern and southern borders to protect the American people."

Miller highlighted the impact of drug use and opioid overdose deaths in West Virginia over the past decade. She noted that many Americans have lost their lives due to these crises.

The congresswoman praised efforts by President Trump, law enforcement officials, DEA members, and ICE agents in securing borders, apprehending illegal immigrants, and tracking dangerous drugs such as fentanyl. "We still have much to do," she said, "but we are on the right track.”
