WASHINGTON, D.C. - On May 3, 2023, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) spoke at the Community Project Funding Groundbreaking in Summers County to highlight the importance of maintaining and investing into towns and communities to preserve West Virginia's history. The groundbreaking ceremony celebrated the $190,000 secured by Congresswoman Miller for sidewalk repair and other projects in Hinton, West Virginia.

“Hinton is a beautiful and historic jewel of West Virginia. This railroad town with incredible architecture and set on New River Gorge has beauty in its DNA," said Congresswoman Miller. "The transformation over the past 150 years has been remarkable. I’m glad to see government funds positively impact the community - it’s always a good day when taxpayer dollars directly benefit the taxpayer. This is an important first step in promoting tourism and preserving the history of Hinton."
