Washington, D.C. – Yesterday, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) spoke at the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club dinner and was presented with a Community Champion award for her support of the organization’s work.
“I had a lovely time attending the Boys & Girls Club dinner last night. Family and community are a gift, and I am so thankful for this club and all their efforts in helping families and children within the communities of Charleston and St. Albans. The organization’s commitment to teaching Christian principles and helping the youth develop useful skills sets them up for a future of success. I am glad that I have been able to work alongside them to secure federal funding so they can expand their programs and ensure that their facilities are in physically safe conditions. I am honored to have been chosen to receive the Community Champion award and I am delighted to continue supporting this wonderful organization,” said Congresswoman Miller.
