WASHINGTON, D.C. – On June 5, 2023, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) released the following statement after President Biden signed the Fiscal Responsibility Act into law. The Fiscal Responsibility Act has been introduced by Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) after negotiating the debt ceiling plan with President Biden and has been passed by the United States Congress. The Fiscal Responsibility Act includes a provision which will begin the completion of the Mountain Valley Pipeline. 

"The Fiscal Responsibility Act has become law, and the economic future of the United States is strengthened.

After a decade of unnecessary holdups and bureaucratic red tape, the Mountain Valley Pipeline will be completed. The entire West Virginian delegation has fought long and hard to finish the Mountain Valley Pipeline and we are relieved to see commonsense legislation prevail against the radical left's green policies. 

Now, domestic energy production will increase and energy prices for Americans will decrease while improving the United States' national security. With the Fiscal Responsibility Act and the completion of the Mountain Valley Pipeline, Speaker McCarthy and House Republicans have once again delivered for the American people," said Congresswoman Miller.

Legislation introduced by Congresswoman Miller on the Mountain Valley Pipeline:

• Congresswoman Miller introduced the Mountain Valley Pipeline Completion Act alongside Congressman John Joyce (R-PA) and Congressman Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) which will complete the Mountain Valley Pipeline.
• Congresswoman Miller and Republican Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) discussed the importance of completing the Mountain Valley Pipeline during a colloquy on the House of Representatives floor.
• Congresswoman Miller introduced the Completing American Pipelines Act after a House floor colloquy with Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) which completes pipelines across the United States such as the Mountain Valley Pipeline.
• Congresswoman Miller and Congressman Dan Newhouse (R-WA) discussed the importance of completing the Mountain Valley Pipeline on the Congressional Western Caucus Podcast.
