Today, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) visited the Raleigh County Commission on Aging. The purpose of her visit was to update staff and seniors on her work in Congress and to learn about the programs offered by the agency for seniors and U.S. veterans.
During her visit, Congresswoman Miller expressed gratitude for the efforts of the Raleigh County Commission on Aging. "I am thankful for the work of the Raleigh County Commission on Aging and their commitment to serving West Virginia seniors and U.S. veterans," she stated. She highlighted that the programs and social activities provided by the agency help build community while offering necessary tools for independence.
Congresswoman Miller emphasized the importance of supporting an aging population in America, particularly those who are vulnerable. "Helping West Virginians and Americans, especially those who are some of our most vulnerable, is a priority of mine," she said. To address these needs, she has introduced legislation aimed at ensuring caregivers and hospitals in rural communities have adequate resources to provide quality care.
The visit included discussions with staff members and interactions with senior citizens benefiting from the services provided by the commission.
